A Big Trapshooting Weekend

It was a huge weekend for our trapshooters with the Wanaka Inter-collegiate Shoot on Saturday and the Taieri Shield Inter-collegiate on Sunday.

On Saturday Clark Ewing placed 1st in the Junior Point Score while Ellie Monk took first place in the Ladies Skeet as well as competing for the High Overall Skeet with three of her male counterparts.  Wanaka also saw Anna Craig place first in the Ladies Points Score and win the High Overall Ladies.  Anna and Clark were joined by Corbyn Hocken, Brandon Howell and Ryan Kennedy to put the SKC Team in 1st place for the Team Results.

Sunday saw everyone head to Alexandra and it was another day of successes!  Ryan won Junior High Overall and the High Points Score, Corbyn took out the High Overall Single Rise and Brandon placed first in the Senior Single Barrel.  Clark was 2nd in the Junior Points Score.  The team from Wanaka once again took out the Team Event, winning the Taieri Shield.  Anna, Clark and Ryan were also selected for the Open DTL Otago team which won against Southland, and Corbyn was selected to shoot in the Otago team v Southland for Skeet - the Southerners won this event.

This is a great time for trapshooting at the College!!
