Emerging talent is fostered at St Kevin's and this year Liam Direen (Yr 9) took home the Emerging Talent Award at the recent Waitaki Sports Awards. As well as taking out the competition on the squash court, Liam bowls them over on the cricket pitch in the North Otago primary cricket team. He was also included in the Squash NZ national youth development squad. As an aside ... he captained the North Otago U13 rugby team in 2017!
