Staff Retreat

On Tuesday, the College staff went on a Special Character Retreat with a difference. The venue was the Vanished World trail starting at Duntroon. The concept was to undertake a hikoi (journey) of insightful spiritual reflect to start the year. The facilitator was Christian Brother, Br Damian Price who is currently based in Brisbane.

Damien challenged us with a verse from Proverbs 22:6 "Start children off on the way they should go and even when they are old they will not turn from it."
We explored some of the challenges facing our young people and linked to the five elements of wellbeing from the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand. Thank you to Mr Mullally for organising the day.

Welcome to Year 9

Today it has been our pleasure to welcome our new cohort of Year 9 students to the College. With 455 students enrolled today, the auditorium was packed as the challenge of the College Haka resounded. Mr Olsen formally welcomed our new staff, ancillary staff and new pupils, highlighting the College FIRE values. Mr Jonathan Carter spoke on behalf of the new staff and students.

Thank you to Mr Harris, Year 9 Dean, who has worked with the new entrants to make sure they feel comfortable.
