The school holidays saw the Top V Boys Basketball squad traveled to Palmerston North to defend their national title at the 2014 A Secondary Schools National Basketball Championships. Their campaign started with force and a great win against Aquinas 64-61 saw a finals match-up against Kavanagh College. The national grand final was fiercely contented but the boys, in the spirit of the Special Character of the College, acknowledged a better side going down to Kavanagh 64-56. Well done boys on this fantastic effort, once again. And a special congratulations to Hikari Shigenobu and Tiare Barlow who were named in the tournament team, and to Hamish Robertson who despite injury was our highest scorer, making 25 points.
