White Ribbon Ride 2015

There was a distinct rumble as the White Ribbon Ride rolled into SKC yesterday afternoon as part of their annual nationwide ride to raise awareness and speak out against family violence.   The ride is a powerful reminder about the effects of violence on our families and communities but provides us with inspirational stories of courage and change.

The riders (with one certain Principal on board) were greeted with the College Haka before students and staff were challenged to think about their own personal relationships with their friends, family and teachers/students at school.  Are they respectful?    The cupcake efforts were shared among all those present after which everyone took the opportunity to admire the bikes close up.
