Canterbury Intercollegiate Trapshooting
The Boys Trapshooting team traveled north yesterday for the Canterbury Intercollegiate Competition at Mead/Te Parita. Corbyn Hocken, Joel Klenner, Ryan Kennedy, Clark Ewing, Jack Gibson and Jack Murphy were accompanied by Coach Colin Ewing and with some solid, consistent shooting placed 4th in the Team events (the top four scores are counted in the team competition). Individually Clark placed 1st in both the B Grade (Year 9/10) Single Rise and B Grade Single Barrel, and 2nd in the B Grade Skeet and B Grade Points Score. Corbyn competed in the A Grade (Year 11/12/13) and came 4th in the A Grade Points Score. Ryan and Clark shot 10 out of 10 in the Single Barrel with both of them representing the College in a shoot off. Of note, Jack Murphy showed great improvement with 8 out of 10. Well done to all the team!
