Congratulations to the SKC Girls' Cricket team who beat Waitaki Girls High School yesterday in the first round of the Bates Cup. The girls managed to restrict WGHS to 62 in 20 overs. Amber Cunningham and Annie Metcalfe picked up 2 wickets each, and Year 9 student Katelyn Walton had the impressive figures of 1 for 5 off 4 overs. SKC passed the total 2 down, with Amber Cunningham holding the innings together with 37 not out.
