Clark Ewing and Harry Murphy travelled to Hamilton to shoot at the North Island Secondary School Clay Target Championships yesterday.
Results out of 185 shooters from all around New Zealand:
Harry Murphy: Gold medal - High Over All Points Score North Island after shooting a perfect score of 60/60 and moving through to the shoot-off where he eventually won Gold.
Clark Ewing: Clark got a perfect score of 20/20 in Single Rise which saw him move through to the shoot-offs to compete with 16 other shooters with the same score. Clark eventually won 3rd place Seniors Single Rise gaining a bronze medal. Clark also regained his AA grade status shooting above 96% to NZCTA standards.
Harry and Clark both scored 22/25 in Skeet giving them a team score of 44/50. This saw them shoot off against Christs College and Lindisfarne College who were also on the same score. Harry and Clark beat Lindisfarne College but lost a target to Christ College to earn them a 2nd place in the North Island Skeet team event!
