Thomas Pickles met his match with the racquet when the opportunity to play Susan Devoy came along on Friday evening. She was in town for the Race Relations Multicultural Evening at the Oamaru Opera House and took up the challenge at the Oamaru Squash Club. Thomas played two games and despite losses in both loved the experience of playing against such a renowned competitor. Thomas recently won a North Otago Open Mens B competition and is one of the clubs top Junior players.
