| Students demonstrate a high level of concentration during their small group lesson |
International snare tutor Alexis Fergusson has been visiting Mrs Haig's junior music classes this term, opening their eyes (and ears) to the world of pipeband snare drumming. She is currently the New Zealand Pipeband Snare Solo Drum Champion and has performed with Grade One pipebands. Alexis recently lead a drumline as Drum Sergent at the World Championships in Scotland.
Alexis is in Oamaru thanks to a grant received through the Waitaki District Schools Pipe Band from Creative Communities.
