Kia ora Kevinians and Supporters of the College

As we are well underway with the new term, our attention has moved to ensure students have their pathways and academic planning reviewed. To begin the exercise, staff have been taking the time to explain how their subject builds unique skills that will support students with their potential career pathways. Senior students have been using assembly time to explain the various subjects from their personal experience. Next week year 10, 11, and 12 students will have personal interviews with deans to explore their passions, their overall performance and possible career pathways. Those with questions will have the opportunity to get more detailed information and support to formulate a future-focused plan.

Today at the College, we are holding the New Zealand Engineering Science Competition. This is an annual problem-solving competition for teams of secondary students throughout the country. This year we have 17 senior mathematics students entered to solve the open-ended problem.
