Principal's Comment

Kia ora Kevinians and Supporters of the College

The theme of preparation has been evident in many of our College activities this week.
Preparation for the upcoming Bishop's Shield to be held in this weekend in Gore. Preparation for the subject section process and the discussion that will be generated with family at next weeks student lead conferences. Preparation for tertiary study with scholarship applications falling due at this time.
Thank you to our staff for the work they are doing to mentor and support students with these challenges.
During the week I was privileged to help with the year 13 Physical Education Ski Camp.
Congratulations go to Mr Smith on a well-organised camp and to the hard-working students who diligently improved their skills and were rewarded with some pleasing NCEA grades.
Today at Mass we celebrated the Feast of St Dominic. We welcomed our local Dominican Sisters to this celebration of charism. The strong Dominican influence is evident in the scripture reading and oratory skills of our students, which will help them with the challenges they will face this weekend at the Bishop's Shield. We wish the team every blessing and safe travel.

May God bless you all
Paul Olsen, Principal
