Deputy Head Girl Merekite Wahitapu's netball star is rising following her selection to the Dunedin U17 Representative Team. This team covers players from throughout the Otago and North Otago region and will travel to the national competition. Merekite was selected earlier in the year for the New Zealand Talent ID programme for Netball South and this latest selection will give her the opportunity to pit her netball wits in front of scouts for a number of high performance teams.
