Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Tramp

Last Friday Russell Dixon supervised a group of 13 junior girls on their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh tramp to Chinaman's Hut, near Dansey's Pass.  The girls made short work of the tramp to the hut on Friday night, in the morning some sprinted to the top of the hill and back, then the whole group walked further up the valley to the waterfall.  Ranger Russell took the opportunity to fit a new comfortable toilet to the longdrop, repaired the roof damaged by a winter rockfall, and fixed part of the garden wall broken in the same event.  A great weekend was had by all.  Our thanks to Tiernach Farrell for driving the school van.
