White Ribbon Ride 2013

This week the College was visited by bike riders on the White Ribbon Ride 2013.  Riders traveling all over the country were joined by local riders and Lesley Elliott (Sophie Elliott Foundation) was also part of this year's ride.  They were greeted by Year 9 and 10 students who performed the new College Haka for the first time for visitors to the College and a special thanks to Mrs Burton, Mrs Fowler and the thirty two junior boys who prepared the morning tea.

"The White Ribbon Ride is New Zealand's most exciting initiative to tackling this country's crippling domestic violence record.  Violence destroys families, sets our children on a destructive journey and affects one in three women.  This week-long motorcycle tour happens every November - White Ribbon Month, and is a powerful and inspirational voyage for all involved.  Recently the ride was featured at the International White Ribbon Conference."
