Today Mrs Austin and Mrs Garvan treated their Yr13 English students to a writing workshop with young adult author Karen Healey. Although living in Australia Karen was educated and grew up in Oamaru, where her family live. Her published works include "Guardian of the Dead" and "The Shattering", with a forthcoming sci -fi adventure "When We Wake". Karen is currently working on her PhD in English Literature. Students were enthusiastically engaged throughout the workshop and the College thanks Karen for sharing her time and words of wisdom about the path to literary success.
