Celebration of Sport: Guest Speaker Profile

The Celebration of Sport will take place next week on Friday, September 21. The event is an opportunity to acknowledge students' sporting achievements and honour the hard work put in by both players and coaches. This year, international netball player, Maree Bowden, will be attending the event as guest speaker.

Bowden is a former St Kevin's College student who has played for Canterbury and eventually took on the role as Canterbury Tactix captain. In 2007, she was selected for the Silver Ferns team for the Netball World Championships in Auckland and was named captain of the 2010 FastNet Team which came first at the 2010 World Netball Series in Liverpool. Bowden is currently the Player Development manager for the Canterbury Mitre 10 Cup rugby team and the Crusaders.
