Last week Angus Macaulay (Y9) and Isobel Ryan (Y12) traveled to Wellington to compete in the New Zealand National Age Group Championships. Isobel was determined to improve on last year's silver laden results and an outstanding effort saw her bring home Silver medals in the 16 Years Girls 100m and 200m Freestyle and that hard fought Gold in the 50m Freestyle and 50m Backstroke events. Angus also had a great series of swims at this national level competition with several personal best swims and a 4th and 5th place in the finals of the 12/13 Years Boys 1500m and 200m Freestyle events.
Isobel and Angus both swim as part of the Waitaki Aquatic Centre Swim team and are the College Senior Girls and U14 Boys Champion Swimmers. Congratulations to them both.
