Last week our Yr13 Biology students traveled to Dunedin for their field trip to the Portobello Marine Laboratory. The field trip included an overnight stay on Quarantine Island in the Otago Harbour. Students were able to utilise the laboratory facilities to create their own series of experiments focusing on the ecological study of rocky shore crabs. Our thanks to Mrs Beckingsale for facilitating this opportunity and to Mr Ryan for sharing his expertise.
