Congratulations to our Athletics team who headed to Dunedin over the weekend to take on the region's best at the Otago Secondary Schools Athletic Championship. Twenty nine students were entered to compete in a number of events and an outstanding twenty three have qualified to go on to the Otago/Southland competition this coming weekend - qualifying for this next round in the competition means students have finished in the top eight for their event.
Three students took Otago titles: Fran Yanzick in the U15 Girls 3000m and 800m, Nicole Dowling U16 Girls High Jump and Cole Ryan who took the U16 Boys 800m in a photo finish by one millisecond!!! Fantastic!!!
