Acting Principal's Comments

Kia Ora Kevinians and Supporters,

This week at the College we celebrated both the Feast Day of St Dominic and the academic success of students throughout the College during our St Dominic's Day Mass.  In what has become somewhat of a tradition at the College the uniforms of St Thomas's and Teschemakers were modeled alongside the attire of a Dominican Sister and once again the local Dominican Sisters; Sister Madeline, Sister Mary and Sister Nola, joined us as our special guests.

Congratulations to all of the students who received Dominican Awards, which were presented as part of Tuesday's Mass.  These awards acknowledge the academic excellence that is expected of all of our students and you can view the list of successful recipients in this week's blog.

An air of excitement has been lurking around the College this week as students make last minute preparations for the College Ball this Saturday.  The dining room has been transformed with Mrs Burgher and her army of student and parent volunteers adding a touch of "Midnight Glamour" for the occasion. Students have been attending ballroom dancing lessons in the lead up to the Ball and are now well practiced at "one, two, three".  We are looking forward to a wonderful evening and acknowledge the tremendous effort of the Home and School team.

Finally I ask that you keep the Carlyle family in your prayers and continue to keep Mr and Mrs Olsen in your thoughts as they continue their travels.

God Bless
Mr Kerry Ryan - Acting Principal.
