Special Character - Paper 4 SKC Trees

Earlier in the year on the Feastday of our Patron, Saint Kevin, students were reminded of the importance of respecting and honouring our environment and the LEO Club are taking the lead in replenishing the beautiful trees that are a feature of our College grounds. St Kevin's College is the latest school in Otago to sign on to the Paper 4 Trees programme which donates seedling to schools in recognition of paper recycling efforts.

Last year several trees were felled due to safety concerns and of course storms last term brought down trees on the adjoining District Council land.  The LEO Club are rolling out the programme this term and will spend the rest of the year co-ordinating paper recycling at the College.  Green collection bins will be placed in each classroom for any recyclable paper or card products and will be monitored and emptied into a central collection area beside the Caretakers Office.
