Well done to our Bishop's Shield team (absent Monica Ley & Mitchell Bolstridge) - thanks to Rebecca Ryan from the Oamaru Mail for the photo |
A team of 19 students traveled to the Bishop’s Shield Competition, which was hosted this year by Kavanagh College in Dunedin. The Bishop’s Shield has held pride of place in the St Kevin’s College trophy cabinet for the past two years but the team from St Kevin’s could not complete a trifecta in 2013, suffering a 3 point loss to the overall winners from Kavanagh College.
However, with 6 trophies and the Marist Centennial Plate for Runner-up
the College Trophy Cabinet will be full again and all of our students who
competed so well show why St Kevin’s College is renowned for producing
confident first rate public speakers.
Our thanks to all of the staff who helped prepare the students for this
annual competition – their achievements are a credit to you all.
