Head Of The Harbour Regatta

There were impressive performances at the Otago Head of the Harbour Regatta for the SKC Rowing Youth Development Team and Competitive Squad on Saturday.  Fran Yanzick was the pick of the novices winning the U18 Novice Single before teaming up with Julia Fauth to take 3rd in the U18 Double.  SKC showed great versatility in the boys U18 Quad and the Four with 4th placings in both events for Charlie Wallis, Julia Fauth, Adam SewHoy and Kalas Taukamo - Tarras Weir (cox).  Charlie took out 2nd in the U18 Single, with Adam and Kalas finishing 4th in the U16 Double.  A special treat was Charlie and Julia combining for the U18 Pair event showing great style and timing.  Our YDT athletes Jack Souness, Riley McKeown, Ben SewHoy and Nicholas Plieger - Tarras Weir (cox) improved upon the earlier Otago Regatta to finish 3rd in the Junior Boys Four and 6th in the Quad.  Junior Doubles combination Jack and Riley gaining 5th, and Ben and Nicholas taking 6th place rounded out a very enjoyable and successful outing.  Well done to everyone!
