Congratulations to Y12 student Peta Grant on her selection to the U17 South Island Maori Netball team (Te Waipounamu Maori Netball). While the trials for the team were last year Peta's name was put forward for a late call up. The team will play in the NZ Maori Womens Health League National Netball Tournament, on over Easter at the TSB Centre in Wellington. A huge challenge with nine games over two days the team will play against all of the nine regions in the North Island, From this tournament a NZ team will be selected to played in the Australasian Indigenous Peoples Netball Tournament held in Australia each year.
Also selected for teams are past pupils Tiana Mihaere (U19), and Hannah Mihaere and Bethany Robertson (Premier). Well done to you all!
