Principal's Comment

Kia ora Kevinians and Supporters

It was a pleasure to catch up with local parents at our exhibit at the North Otago A&P Show last weekend. This was an opportunity to engage with the wider community, answer questions about the Equestrian development and support our students in the various competitions. Congratulations to Brittany Caldwell, Georgia Malcolm, Holly Malcolm and Ella Sanderson who represented the College with distinction at the TeenAg competition. They have earned places at the national competition to be held in Taupo later in the year.

On Tuesday evening we welcomed back our student leaders from the Edmund Rice Leadership Camp run by Brother Damian in Auckland. Thanks to Mr Mullally for the accompanying our six leaders over the weekend. The students have come back full of inspiration and I look forward to working with them and implementing their ideas as the year progresses.

This yesterday I attended the annual Bishop's Education Forum in Dunedin. I am pleased to report that the four Diocesan secondaries are continuing to work together at a regional level and we look forward to the first fruit of this work which is the end of term sports gathering. Planning is well underway for the event which is being held at St Kevin's on Sunday March 29 and Monday 30th. Parents and supporters are most welcome.

God Bless you all
Paul Olsen, Principal
