Principal's Comment

Kia ora Kevinians and Supporters

On Monday after school the Whitestone Learning and Change Network (LCN) gathered in our library.  St Joseph's, Weston and Papakaio schools are foundation members and were joined by Ardgowan and Totara. The focus of the gathering was to explore how we can improve the transition from primary to secondary school. Thank you to our Y10 students who shared their thoughts with the 60 participants.

This weekend the College will have a presence at the Wanaka Show. If you are attending the event, please call in at our tent and catch up with Mr Fowler.

I am currently in Nelson with the Wataki District Schools Pipeband who are competing at the nationals.  St Kevin's has a strong contingent of both pipers and drummers amongst our ranks. Next week we will be offering the opportunity for new learners to join our tuition program. If you know of anyone who would like to learn, have them leave their contact details at the College Office. Lessons start next Wednesday, 7 pm at the Waitaki Boys music room.

May God bless you this Lenten season
Paul Olsen, Principal
