Last week the College and Hostel Dining Room had the pleasure of hosting Idea Services clients and staff who joined hostel students for lunch before heading to the Music Department for a concert, with students performing as part of their NCEA assessments.
It proved to be a great experience and Mrs Haig was proud of the five Level 1 music groups, stepping it up for their appreciative audience who encouraged students with their nodding, smiling and clapping. One singer commented that she "got into it" more because of this and all of the students enjoyed sharing their music with people who haven't heard them practicing all year! After the concert the Idea Services clients and staff joined students in a sing-along before being invited to play the drum kit, electric guitar and piano.
