There has been a few years between Premier titles but 2012 has proven to be St Kevin's year with multiple netball wins for the trophy cabinet.
The big game for the day saw the Senior A team up against defending champions Excelsior. The girls stood their ground from the beginning of the first quarter and with outstanding shooting, slick passing and controlled centre court work they steadily built their lead to a final 29-21 victory.
Not to be outdone the Senior B team defeated Waitaki Wildfire to win the Premier Bottom Four title and the Junior A's took down Waitaki Junior Red in their final match-up. SKC Intermediate A are also credited with an excellent game in their Top Four Division 2 final despite a loss to Athletic Gold.
Congratulations to all of our netballers for 2012. The future of St Kevin's netball is full of hope and promise and the achievement of our Premier Champions is a testament to the hard work of all of the girls, as well as team managers and coaches.
